A pressure leaf filter consist of filter leaves each made up from several layers of wire mesh. The inner layer is coarse mesh for the discharge of the filtrate and support of the outer layer. Filter leaves are manufactured with '5' layer or '3' layer design, riveted or bolted depending on the requirements.
